Dignity and Respect. The core values for members of the 1019th Quartermaster Mortuary Affairs Company. The Liberty Warriors travelled to Fort Picket, Virginia to participate in a Mortuary Affairs Exercise to test their technical and tactical skills in of one of the most solemn and honorable jobs in the Army Reserves.
The Mortuary Affairs Exercise, better known as MAX, gives these specialized units the ability to train and prepare their Soldiers in the specific tasks that will be required in a real life deployment. These tasks can include search and recovery, human remains collection, processing, tentative identification of the remains and evacuation.
