The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provided more than $3.5 million in grant funding to the District of Columbia's Department of Energy and the Environment (DOEE) for projects to control stormwater runoff and prevent pollution to waterways.
The funding will be used for several projects to include the Oregon Avenue Watershed Green Streets project; a Stormwater Outfall Restoration Project, the Department of Public Works Transfer Station Stormwater Improvement Project, the 19th Street NW Green Infrastructure Project and a stormwater tracking database.
