Muscle Activation
Preparation:
The Marine will start standing with feet shoulder width apart.
Execution:
The Marine will squat and then step out laterally, maintaining their bodyweight over the trailing leg. As the lead leg extends, they will transition their body weight from the trailing leg to the lead leg. The shoulders and toes will face forward throughout the movement. Once transitioned, the Marine will bring the trailing leg back into the squat position and repeat the movement.
Common Mistakes: - Dropping the chest
- Not moving load from one leg to the lead
