At the request of the Mexican government, a Travis C-17 Globemaster III recently flew to March Air Reserve Base where they picked up 60 members from the U.S. Agency for International Development elite disaster team of the Los Angeles County Fire Department USAR Team, which included 5 canines and 62,000 pounds of equipment and medical supplies to bring to Mexico City to help with relief efforts after the earthquake.
