President Donald J. Trump presented the Medal of Honor to retired Army Capt. Gary “Mike” Rose at the White House for his actions during Operation Tailwind in Laos during the Vietnam War. Rose is credited with saving the lives of 70 soldiers and was inducted into the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon, Oct. 24, 2017.
