A KC-135 Stratotanker and crewmembers from RAF Mildenhall participated in joint training with the Hellenic air force in Athens, Greece this week. This joint training operation between the two nations focused on air to air refueling in order to support NATO interoperability requirements. Captain Richard Jackson, the aircraft commander for this mission, explains why this training was important for both nations.
This training mission was significant as this was the first time the 100th Air Refueling Wing operated in Athens, Greece.
