NATO stands firmly against gender-based violence. We strive to make sure that at every level of our operations, women and children are protected.

Violence against women is inherent in any conflict, and is often used as a tool of war. NATO takes this seriously, striving on all levels of its operations to make sure women are protected. From planning and training stages to engaging with other international institutions, NATO makes United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, a priority.

Footage includes interviews with speakers from various International Staff (IS), International Military Staff (IMS) and NATO Delegations, as well as archive shots of NATO field education and training activities, and women in conflict zones.
