Two-hundred and three Pennsylvania National Guard members provided air and ground support to Texas in response to Hurricane Harvey, which devastated the state and caused catastrophic damage.
Six Pennsylvania Air National Guard and 197 Pennsylvania Army National Guardsmen on State Active Duty status, along with 2 CH-47 Chinook helicopters and 7 fuel trucks, all arrived to Texas within 72 hours of being activated and conducted missions in support of domestic operations between Austin and Houston, Texas from Aug. 28 to Sept. 7.
Pennsylvania National Guard units involved include the 213th Personnel Company, 2-104th Cavalry Regiment, 228th Transportation Battalion, 721st Transportation Company, 108th Medical Company, 252nd Quartermaster Company, 1-109th Field Artillery, 1067th Transportation Company, 628th Support Battalion, 131st Transportation Company, 2-104th General Support Aviation Battalion, and Joint Force Headquarters, Pennsylvania National Guard.
