Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany officials remember the tornado that struck the installation Sunday, January 22, 2017. The tornado touched down at the Southwest corner of the base, carving a path right through the heart of the installation’s industrial area. The National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF3, with estimated peak winds of 150 miles per hour. Fortunately, there was no loss of life or reports of injury.
