On January 30, 2018, Bagram Airfield conducted a base defense/mass casualty exercise. The exercise tested the response of base security and Craig Joint Theater Hospital personnel. The exercise tested the agencies response to multiple injury types in a fast-paced/intensive environment with various nationalities and language barriers. The exercise gave units the opportunity to try and find new ways to improve emergency operation plans and procedures.
