After aiding in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, members of the Pennsylvania National Guard are now assisting with the response to Hurricane Irma. Twenty-one members of the Pennsylvania National Guard and two CH-47 Chinooks repositioned to Opa-Locka assisting with the response to Hurricane Irma, a category 3 storm that hit September 10, 2017.
The Pennsylvania National Guard units involved in the response are Company B, 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment, 28th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade, 28th Infantry Division and Eastern Army National Guard Aviation Training Site.
