SrA Nick Emerick:
U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Geoff Pyatt, recently discussed the partnership between Greece and the United States
AMB to Greece: Partnership has played an important role in building our alliance, building the personal relationships between individual officers that are so important to our military interoperability. Our military alliance with Greece is one of our strongest elements of our bilateral relationship.
SrA:
The Ambassador also spoke about the importance of exercises between The Hellenic Republic and the U.S.
AMB: We haven’t had an Alexander the Great exercise in Greece in more than a decade, so this is especially important because it marks the renewal of large scale complex field exercises between U.S. and Hellenic Marines. And I’m hopeful that this will be a valuable learning opportunity for both sides and that we will be able to build on this experience to enhance interoperability and build capacity for both our forces for both our forces and their Greek counterparts.
