Ms. Kaori Tamura, a volunteer at Camp Zama, recently received the very first Kizuna Award, presented by Major General James Pasquarette, the commander of US Army Japan, for her support of Service members, Civilians, and their Family members.
Tamura said that she felt humbled to receive the award, and this is what else she had to say….
Pasquarette said the Kizuna award recognizes and celebrates the bond between volunteers and their community, and the award will be awarded to a volunteer from within the community annually.
