Apache AH-64 helicopters starting after armament and avionics maintainers, with Task Force Viper, 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, prepared them at the Airfield, Baumholder Military Training Area. The unit was conducting gunnery to improve combat readiness. The gunnery was also supported by Joint Terminal Attack Controllers from Europe Air Ground Operations School, Kaiserslautern, Germany.
