8th Special Operations Kandak Commandos, advised by U.S. Special Operations Forces, conducted raids on suspected Taliban compounds in Sayyidabad district, Wardak province, Afghanistan, May 24-25, 2018. The Taliban uses Wardak’s close proximity to Kabul to plan their high profile attacks; clearing their compounds and seizing their weapons disrupts their ability to carry out attacks on innocent Afghans.
