A U.S. Air Force humanitarian airlift aeromedical evacuation mission took place at the direction of U.S. Southern Command to assist the government of Guatemala in transporting six children injured in the recent eruption of Fuego Volcano to Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas, to receive further care.
