The Pope Conference Center in Washington, Ga. was utilized as a free clinic during the East Central Georgia Innovative Readiness Training, held July 11-18, 2018. IRT Program Manager, Maj. Michael McDonald from AFRC, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. comments on the importance of the mission for service members and local communities. Capt. Samantha Blue of the 514th Air Mobility Wing, NJ explains the IRT clinic process.
An IRT includes opportunities for Active, Guard and Reserve service members to integrate as a joint healthcare team primarily to train but to also benefit American communities. The community benefits from the services provided while medical professionals from all branches of the military are given an opportunity to work with each other.
