Some new jobs are coming to the Rock Island Arsenal. Greg Wilson with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command Public Affairs Office has more.
The Civilian Human Resources Agency is looking to bring about 160 new jobs to Rock Island Arsenal, and held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the building that will be renovated to house the employees.
CHRA will be taking over human resources services for the Department of Defense Education Activity, which oversees schooling for about 72,000 children of military families.
The job positions will be a mix of existing government civilian employees and new hires.
It’s a great day for Rock Island Arsenal and for the greater Quad Cities community as we officially celebrate excellence through partnership between CHRA and DoDEA.
Renovation work will begin shortly, and the workers will be added over the next year or so. Reporting for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command Public Affairs Office, I’m Greg Wilson.
