The Combat Support Training Exercise 91-18-01 at Fort Hunter Liggett, California during July 2018 brings various support units from across the country (and from other countries as well) to work together on various scenarios. Media were invited to observe an exercise with U.S. forces breaching an enemy encampment (role-played by an active duty unit from Joint Base Lewis-McChord) using combat engineers to fill an anti-vehicle ditch and deploy an M60 Armored Vehicle-Launched Bridge, July 22. The exercise also included Global Medic participants to treat "casualties." Col. Scott Nelson, 2nd Brigade, Pacific Division, 84th Training Command was interviewed prior to the exercise. Nelson is leader of the OCT teams at the battalion and brigade level.
