Washington National Guard airmen from the 141st Air Refueling Wing based at Fairchild Air Force Base, conduct mop up procedures on the Sheep Creek Fire near Northport, Wash., Aug. 6, 2018. Mop up is a wild land firefighting term for making a fire safe, or to reduce residual smoke by extinguishing or removing burning material near control lines. The 141st was called into state active duty to assist Wash. Department of Natural Resources after Governor Jay Inslee issued an emergency proclamation on July 31.
