180810-N-AT135-0002 SURIGAO STRAIT (Aug. 10, 2018) CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters and MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 166 (REIN), launch from the flight deck of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) while conducting search and rescue operations for a missing Marine assigned to 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
