The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Task Force Recovery has completed its final soil stabilization work in Puerto Rico, following the Corps of Engineers grid restoration work, marking a major milestone in the ongoing recovery efforts, Puerto Rico, September 7, 2018.
In total approximately 600 sites were assessed, of which 53 sites required stabilization. The goal was to prevent long-term impacts by eliminating offsite erosion at sites disturbed during the emergency power restoration mission until vegetation could re-establish providing permanent soil stabilization.
