U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations Special Response Team Members along with several other federal government agencies are ready to support and assist in the response to Hurricane Florence.
On Thursday, September 13, 2018, CBP officers at Atlanta’s Port Office loaded up supplies destined for North Carolina. Twelve Atlanta CBP officers and several vehicles were deployed to North Carolina. After staging in North Carolina, the team will travel to the impacted areas with trailers carrying supplies to assist in the relief efforts. Some of the equipment taken include ladders, saws, generators with fuel, lighting systems, and other vital supplies.
