Airmen from the 96th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, load a Quickstrike-Extended Range naval sea mine onto a B-52 on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, as part of exercise Valiant Shield 18, Sept. 16, 2018. This year’s demonstration grouped the Air Force’s B-52 bombers of the 96th Bomb Squadron with the Navy’s P-8A Poseidon to deploy and assess the updated shallow-water mine technology.
