The 57th Sapper Company (C)(A)(RT) rapidly responded to damage caused by Hurricane Florence at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU), N.C., Sept. 24, 2018. Sappers blew through 12 chainsaws and moved to axes and handsaws after cutting down an average of more than 30 trees per day that had fallen over fence lines and were blocking perimeter roads at MOTSU and its Leland Interchange.
