Crew members aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB-20) deploy a series of oceanic sensors Monday, Oct. 8. 2018, about 300 miles north of Barrow, Alaska, in the Arctic Ocean. The crew of the Healy is working with scientists from the Office of Naval Research to study stratified ocean dynamics in the Arctic Ocean, which studies environmental factors that influence the mixing of the layers of the ocean.
