German personnel arrive in Norway for NATO exercise Trident Juncture. The troops arrive in a charted civilian plane. Ground crew welcome the personnel at the bottom of the stairs with information. The personnel head into the hangar. A brief is given to the personnel. Luggage is loaded.
Over 9000 Germany forces will contribute to the exercise, which will test the deployment of NATO’s rapid reaction force, the NATO Response Force (NRF).
Around 50,000 troops and 10,000 vehicles from all 29 NATO countries, as well as Sweden and Finland, will come together for the Trident Juncture exercise, which starts in Norway on 25 October.
