Field Day is a Marine Corps tradition that is conducted weekly to uphold
good order and discipline. For many Marines living in the barracks, Field
Day is crucial to developing good housekeeping habits that can carry on for
the rest of their lives.
This video brings attention to a separate aspect of Field Day; numerous
false fire alarms that occur during Field Day at MCLB Albany.
Four safety rules Marines should keep in mind are:
1) Do not smoke or vape in your room.
2) Be careful when cleaning around fire alarms. Alarms can be triggered when hit.
3) Exercise extreme caution when cooking in your rooms. Too much smoke will set off the fire alarm.
4) Do not ignore fire alarms, Marines! Evacuate the building immediately. Utilize the fire escape plans that are in place.
