Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, hosts the its second German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge Event, Oct. 15-20, 2018. The event started with a 100-meter swim in uniform, 9 mm pistol range, then moved on to the basic fitness test. Competitors had to complete a timed flex arm hang, sprints, and a 1000-meter run. The event concluded with a foot march carrying at least 33 pounds. A gold, silver, or bronze badge was awarded to the participants and depended on their score in each category. Allowing allied service members to participate builds integration between partner nations.
