Please join the Quarterdeck Consort of the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters as they present "Singing Together: The Origins of Western Choral Music." Singing together is a fundamental part of our heritage as Americans and as global citizens. They will perform music from the European choral tradition, spanning centuries, and explore how it has evolved to the music of today. Additionally, they will provide some new thoughts and ideas for singing or listening to vocal music, including music in a foreign language.
For the 2018-2019 school year, the United States Navy Band presents "Origins." In this series of educational webcast presentations, we will examine the origins of musical styles, musical instruments, and other questions dealing with how musical elements came into existence.
