John Halttunen, Electrician's Mate 1st Class Vincent Dubose, Quartermaster 3rd Class Joel Prentice, and Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Julius Ervin provide comments aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) regarding their ship's namesake, Vice Adm. James Bond Stockdale, who spent seven years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. Stockdale is currently conducting routine operations as part of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3 in the U.S. Pacific Fleet area of operations.
