Knowledge and understanding of the battlespace environment is critical to military strategy and decision-making. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), is helping to further that knowledge through work being done at its Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) in Hanover, NH. On a recent visit to CRREL, ERDC Director Dr. David Pittman spoke to Research Ecologist Simone Whitecloud about her contributions in this area.
