B-roll video:
Iowa Air National Guard Lt. Colonel Justin Faiferlick recently added author to his many titles after penning a book that he hopes will help kids and adults be strong and confident when faced with adversity.
Faiferlick works as the director of test at the Iowa Air Guard’s 133rd Test Squadron in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
He is a 6th degree Master in Taekwondo as well as other self-defense techniques and hopes that his book “Battle Tested, how to awaken your inner confidence and stand up to bullying,” will help his students and in turn help others faced with bullying.
Faiferlick works with his wife at his gym in Fort Dodge, Iowa where they equip their students with the psychical means to be able to protect themselves but he says there is more to it than just self-defense.
Faiferlick says his goal is to teach his students with proven techniques laid out in his book in order to combat bullying.
Faiferlick says the same techniques apply in real life or in cases of cyber bullying. He says the first thing he teaches his students is avoid confrontation.
The bottom line according to Faiferlick is to equip his students with the means to defend themselves.
