Soldiers of the 2nd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division commemorated the 68th anniversary of the battle of Kunu-Ri, Nov. 30, 2018. During the Korean War, the battalion's position was overrun and the commander gave the order to burn the unit colors to prevent them from falling into enemy hands. While this act typically signifies the disbanding of a unit, they later reformed and continued fighting throughout the Korean War. Today, they remember their unit history and the sacrifices of service members who came before them.
