This video shows the overall Coast Guard participation in UNITAS 2018, which took place in Colombia from Aug. 31 to Sept. 11, 2018. UNITAS is a combined Latin American and U.S. exercise that promotes cooperation, understanding and partnership among the participating navies in order to respond as a unified force to a wide variety of maritime missions.The annual international maritime exercise focuses on strengthening regional partnerships and encourages establishing new relationships through the exchange of maritime mission-focused knowledge and expertise during multinational training exercises.
