The tankers are the first of eight KC-135R Stratotankers being divested to other Air Refueling Wings as Pease Air National Guard base prepares to receive the Air National Guard's first KC-46A Pegasus tankers in the fall of 2019.
The two aircraft are being divested to the 126th Air Refueling Wing at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois and the 151st Air Refueling Wing at Wright Air National Guard Base in Salt Lake City, Utah.
