Major General (ret.) Marcelite Jordan Harris was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery Thursday, February 7th, 2019. Harris made history in 1991 by becoming the first African American female Brigadier General in the Air Force, eventually promoting to the rank of Major General, which made her the highest-ranking female in the U.S. military.
