(Feb. 20, 2019) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Michael Isaacson, a water survival instructor at Recruit Training Command (RTC), describes the steps of the 3rd class swim qualification during a time lapse of the training evolution. Recruits are required to pass the qualification in order to graduate from boot camp, which includes a 10-foot platform jump, 50 meter swim and a five-minute prone float.
