This edition features stories on the 53rd Reconnaissance Squadron, known as the “Hurricane Hunters”, one of few Department of Defense (DoD) hurricane hunting teams that fly into storms to collect data, a dozen countries participating in a Unified Engagement Information Sharing Conference in Guam, to strengthen the weaknesses of Pacific air power, and improve coordination for peacekeeping and humanitarian missions, service members attending the Naval Explosive Ordinance Disposal School in Florida, a Major Accident Response Exercise (MARE), meant to hone the competency that keeps first responders at their peak, and Airmen at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., wear-testing prototypes for new better Air Force boots.
