On Feb. 22, 2019, millions witnessed a special flypast honoring the Mi Amigo crew, who sacrificed their lives 75 years earlier in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield. A flag was flown in honor of all Americans who gave their lives in World War II and in appreciation of the UK's dedication to keeping their memories alive. Two days later, a service was held to remember the crew, and the flag was brought home. It will fly each year over the Mi Amigo memorial as a tribute to the US and UK's special relationship, grounded by traditions and heritage. (U.S. Air Force video by Airman 1st Class Gabrielle Winn)
