Following his aerial tour of flood-damaged Camp Ashland on Friday, General Joseph L. Lengyel, the 28th chief of the National Guard Bureau, visited with Nebraska Army National Guard helicopter crews and staff at the Nebraska Army National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility No. 1 in Lincoln and learned more about the missions that the Nebraska National Guard aviation crews flew during the early hours of last week’s historic and devastating flooding. General Lengyel also met with – and recognized – Nebraska National Guard Soldiers and Airmen currently working at the Guard’s Joint Operations Center and the State Emergency Operations Center. Lengyel concluded his visit by answering questions during a video interview with Nebraska's Public Affairs Office. (Nebraska National Guard video by Spc. Travis Williams)
