PURPOSE: 3D Medical Applications Center: Material Jetting, is one of a five part series designed to showcase every three-dimensional printing technology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The other four additive manufacturing printers in the series are Vat Photopolymerization, Binder Jetting, Material Extrusion and Powder Bed Fusion.
The Material Jetting printing process creates patient-specific anatomical models with a drop-on-demand method that incorporates materials of different colors, transparencies and flexibilities into the build.
