Capt. Michael Long was relieved as commander, Sector Honolulu, by Capt. Arex Avanni on Base Honolulu, May 24, 2019. Adm. Kevin Lunday commander, 14th Coast Guard District, presided over the change of command ceremony. Long will continue his career as the Coast Guard liaison to the Indo-Pacific Command on Oahu.
