The new Joint Light Tactical Vehicle is about to be fielded to the US Army Reserve. The vehicle boasts large improvements to operational capability and survivability.
The Fort McCoy Draw Yard, managed by the 88th Readiness Division, is the key storage and accountability resource supporting the staging, final preparation, training, and eventual deployment of the JLTV to the Army Reserve customer unit base.
The Fort McCoy Draw Yard provides loans of vehicles and equipments to units training at McCoy, saving them up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in the training budgets. It also offers other resources, such as technical and maintenance training for the JLTV and legacy collection of vehicles.
