A Danish explosive ordnancemen dives on a World War II-era, air-laid mine weighing approximately 1,000 pounds in the Baltic Sea. The mine was detected and classified by HMNoS Otra and reacquired and identified by Royal Danish Navy divers as part of the exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2019 Mine Warfare Task Group. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, marking the 47th year of one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations.
