A U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawks assigned to the 1-52 Aviation Regiment, Alpha Company, refuel at Allen Army Airfield, Fort Greely, Alaska, during a mission supporting RED FLAG-Alaska 19-2 June 13, 2009. The UH-60s land at Donnelly Drop Zone, picking up U.S. Army 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment Soldiers, as well as sling load a vehicle and two Howitzer artillery guns. The UH-60 formation transport them to Yakima Training Area near Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, to conduct a training event. The mission of the 1st Battalion (General Support), 52nd Aviation Regiment is to provide aviation general support to United States Army Alaska, transition to war, and conduct operations in support of Combatant Commanders. RED FLAG-Alaska is a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored exercise designed to provide realistic training in a simulated combat environment. (U.S. Air Force video by Master Sgt. Burt Traynor)
