The Defense Innovation Board -- an independent federal committee advising the defense secretary on various issues that focus on people and culture, technology and capabilities, and practices and operations -- holds a quarterly public meeting at Silicon Valley, Calif., July 10, 2019. The science and technology subcommittee will present its work on principles for the ethical use of artificial intelligence, the workforce behavior and culture subcommittee will discuss talent management, and the board will receive a progress update on implementation of the recommendations contained in its Software Acquisition and Practices study report. Additionally, Joshua Marcuse will brief the board on the Defense Department’s latest implementation activities related to its recommendations.
