Salsa...it's not just for chips! Check out how 1st Lt. Josh Edelman, 437th Maintenance Fabrication Flight Commander uses his love of Latin culture to unite the Charleston community through salsa dancing. Using his passion for salsa and military leadership skills, Lt. Edelman saw there was a weak dance scene in Charleston-events were sporadic and few people were dancing. Seeing this problem, Lt. Edelman decided to create a facebook page for the salsa dance community providing a one-stop shop for all things dance related. On this Facebook page he posted he did weekly posts of different salsa dance events going on in Charleston. This page helped to expand and grow the salsa dance community into the thriving community it is today. Lt. Edelman's passion, community outreach and leadership in the community makes him an outstanding airman for Joint Base Charleston.
