Gen. Maryanne Miller, Air Mobility Commander, addresses Gold Star families during the Dyess Memorial Park dedication. The Dyess community raised $600,000 to build a memorial honoring the fallen members from the base's history, including the members of TORQE 62, a tragedy that occurred on Oct. 2, 2015. The unique architecture of the memorial casts light on the service members' plaque during the hour they made the ultimate sacrifice.
