The Office of Naval Research Global TechSolutions teamed with Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division to develop a computerized anthropometric measurement device to accurately measure a student naval aviator in order to gauge the type of aircraft cockpit that will best accommodate his body. The device features enhanced optical scanning and processing of subjects which saves time, improves standardization, and is less susceptible to human error over current measurement methods.
